About me
Well, I'm 22, and have a degree in animal biology, though I'm currently a cabinetmaker apprentice. I like to build things.
I've been going at this art stuff since about grade 7, when I drew dragons. Poorly. I've been doing art more seriously since just after grade 9, when I discovered the joys of the internet, and some great tutorials, by Dee Dreslough, and at Elfwood's FARP. I usually draw my pictures on printer paper then scan them and colour them on Photoshop 7.0, with my Wacom tablet, though I really should experiment more with real media pictures. I'm drawing less these days being at work rather than at school,
For other hobbies (besides spending time with my boyfriend), I mostly dick around on the internet, read, and rock climb. I'm not entirely sure who my favorite author is, though Richard Dawkins, Dan Simmons, and Terry Pratchett would be pretty high in the running. Rock climbing is another hobby, which has gotten fairly serious. I've actually done some outdoor stuff which was really cool, if a little more painful, and a lot scarier. Just knowing there's pointy hard rock underneath the crash mats is good encouragement to climb well.
This would be me, and it's a picture from New Years, unusual in that it's one of the few recent ones of me not climbing.
